Working for exposure.

Call it – working for free – the holy grail of companies looking for a photographer meaning every company in this world.

Point explained by WTD.

I did an article about this article long ago, and the problem has gotten much worse since. A recent article on Petapixel here highlighted the practice is more or less being accepted as standard practice.

Check out the comments on all the links I posted, they are hilarious.

To all my friends and family! Happy Chinese new year – The Rooster! Often mistaken for the Chicken! Like this pic here….showing a chicken….I’ll stop there now.

Anyway,

May good fortune and health bless you and your families!
May all your ventures be fruitful and successful!
May generally all good things come to you!

I am now in Labuan again and just resting.

Good bye 2016.

bf30acd277e2cd9bb644f65c8ae57561We can all agree when I say that 2016 has been a terrible years for everyone.

Whether it’s your work or personal life it has been painful.

I lost good friends. I lost opportunities, but most of all I lost myself in all the madness.

That’s not to say 2016 has been all bad, what I’m really saying it could have been so much worse. At least I am alive and I had a chance to go to Japan and South Korea for a month.

Good bye 2016, you certainly stripped away from me good things, but along with it, bad things making my life less burden. Hopefully making me stronger for the coming year.

Because in the end, we can only do one thing – hope.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

Then again I don’t earn a living from my photography.

May your stockings be full with presents and not coal and hope everyone enjoys themselves!

Mending shoes.

Stepping out of the bank after cashing in the cheque I ticked off another item off my “to-do” list. It was 6pm Monday and I had just left the office for the the bank to help pay for one of their orders.

Looked down at my shoes, I noted the tears and wears. Mind you – it was still good, but could use some fixing up. A cobbler had set up shop right next to the bank. With time to spare I paid a visit.
