Kodak Pro Image 100 – Street shooting in Jakarta.

It was a very interesting experiment shooting street photography using Pro Image 100 during my recent trip to Jakarta.

Used primarily consumer purposes – it’s cheap, and good exposure latitude but oddly not easily found anywhere. I use it for studio shooting due to it’s muted colours.

  1. Ah, yes. In Jakarta, you can’t find much (non-expired) consumer colour film in the stores. You have to look online for those and they usually only deal films with larger profit such as Ektar or Portra.
    B&W are more popular because the photographer can process the film at home, avoiding the high cost of processing (with doubtful result)

    I like Pro Image 100, although there’s not much special event to use them.
    That saying about “shoot film makes you think more because every shot cost you” has became “can’t shoot film for anything not-special because they cost too much”. ^^;;
