The original version looks even better most of the time…..

I came across this entry on “A photo editor” where it talks about a new book being released by Sports illustrated that shows the original slide used for their most iconic magazine cover. (more…)
Nyorooooo~~~~
Man, am I exhausted! Didn’t get any sleep last night as someone was banging on a hammer all night till 3am in the bloody morning! It would have gone on even longer had someone not finally fucking lost it and went over to the guy’s place to tear him a new one.
The hammer banger was so terrified that he didn’t dare come out of his apartment. Immediately the banging stop but if it starts up again tonight guess who is going to be the next guy to go postal? ¬_¬
I want to sleeeppp~~~~~ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
nyoro nyoro~
Its finally here! Joy! The books from Japan-exposure!
The books I ordered are here! I had hope originally that it would be delivered to my place last weekend but PosLaju doesn’t work on Sunday.

NOTE to SIMON! You’re full of bullshit at the end and I’m a fan of yours!
OH oh! I found them!
A roll of developed b&w film I thought I had lost months ago! It was actually inside one of the programming books I brought along to work! I’ll be scanning it in tonight!
Also I found my missing credit card! It was accidentally left at one of my favorite places to buy camera gear, in my rush to get home that day to beat the traffic jam I had forgotten to take it! The shop keeper kept the card for me till I came back!
Sometimes it does pay to get out of bed.

Today at work I decided to give kinokuniya a call about the book I wanted. The book actually it wouldn’t be even available until August 2009 on Amazon but for some strange reason Kinokuniya has it already!

Somedays it doesn’t pay to get out of BED!
You know I like to think that I’m like everyone else even though I detest the idea of being similar to everyone else as I hate conforming to society. Maybe this is why I don’t have a girlfriend.
So in saying that, I wish today had gone better for me just like it has for everyone else!
Here is a new twist to an old idea.
I decided to try and stitch together a panoramic shot from a number of shots taken using film which prove to be no problem and not anymore different than the way I usually do it with digital except now I have to scan in the slides as an extra step.
Optionally I could have taken the whole shot using my 17-35mm but at the time I had only brought my nikon fm2n along with a 50mm f/1.2 ais lens. So I had to make do with a single roll of Fujifilm fortia SP (ATTENTION FUJIFILM! BRING BACK FORTIA SP!!!!).
This is a shot of Pulau Jerejak which is a small island just across the sea from Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Yeah! Labuan is now famous!
I’m so proud!!! As reported by BBC and the star newspaper
NOT!
Seriously the one time this island gets any international fame and it has to be as a tax haven for corrupt people, swell.
As quoted by the star,
LONDON: Four nations were blacklisted as uncooperative tax havens after G-20 leaders declared the age of banking secrecy was over and said they would no longer tolerate shady havens draining away badly needed tax revenue.
At the request of the Group of 20 summit of rich and developing nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development named the Philippines, Uruguay, Costa Rica and the Malaysian territory of Labuan as the worst offenders, saying they had refused to adopt new rules on financial openness.
No doubt our newly “elected” PM will have something to say about this. Quoted here from BBC’s article of him “complaining”
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that his country should not be on the blacklist at all.
“We should not be in that category as, in practice, we have been committed to OECD requirements,” he said in a statement.
Will he do anything about it? Hell no, else it would allow anyone to find out how much dirty money been stashed away.
IELTS result.
Tragedy has struck! I flunked!
My results are as follows:
1.Listening 6.5
2.Reading 6.5
3.Writing 6
4.Speaking 7.5
Over bend average is 6.5 which is not enough for my ACS application. I need an average of 7.0! GRRRR! Now I need to resit the test AGAIN! RM550 bye bye!
This so peeves me off! I had thought my writing was a sure WIN and if I was to fail, it would because of my listening. Surprisingly, I scored better in my listening than my writing!
Pity I can’t find out what went wrong. Oh well chin up old boy! Time for another round!!
